His Holiness on a visit to Ladakh

Leh, July 20, 2010

Buddhist Spiritual and Tibetan Leader Dalia Lama scheduled for a weeks visit to Nubra Valley of Leh district reached Nubra today.

During his week -long stay at Nubra valley, Dalai Lama will consecrate the 100 foot high Lord Maitreya Statue near Diskit Monastery in Nubra valley. This newly build statue of Lord Meitreya has become the largest one in Ladakh after those situated at Thiksay and Liker Monasteries.

His Holiness will also deliver two-day teachings of Lord Buddha at Diskit in Nubra valley and will pay visit to Lord Mahakala site of the valley, which is believed to occur naturally at Yarma Gonbo monastery.  RLC

 Once again we have got the great opportunity to listen the teaching of h h dalai lama. But just listening is not that much useful to us. We should try to do or try to practice what he says. ............................
