Rigzin Jora inspects the Tourist’s cafeteria at Hunder to check its work progress
Leh, July 27, 2010
Tourism and Cultural Minister Nawang Rigzin Jora made an inspection to check the progress of the under construction Tourist’s Cafeteria at Hunder Village in Nubra valley of Leh district.
The Tourist Cafeteria is being constructed at a cost of Rs. 23 lac near sand dune which is one of the tourist’s attractions in Nubra valley.
During the inspection, Tourism Minister directed the construction agency to maintain local touch in the physical structure while keeping the tourist interest in it.
Later, interacting with the operators of Camel Safari at sand dune in Hunder village, Jora suggested them to train the doubled humped camels for trekking purposes.
It is pertinent to mention here that doubled humped camel is found only in Nubra valley in the country and is one of the tourist’s attractions in the region. RLC

Although it is good to find minister visit to tourist spots, but on the other hand he never bothered to talk on the detoriated trend of education system, I appeal to Mr minister through this madium plz don't ignore the common people intrest, as tourism is only beneficial to big pockets. Let me remind sir, u r fisrt representative of people and of very poor peoples in fact,plz don't play with thier silence. |
